Tell us a little about yourself.

I enjoy fishing, Hunting, and quad riding. I am 45 years young and an electrician by trade, but work as the Traffic Signals and Street lights supervisor for the City of Salem.

How did you hear about CrossFit and why did you start?

Heard about CrossFit through two of the guys I work with. I joined to get back into shape for hunting, with a goal to doing a back country hunt in memory of my brother who passed away from cancer. he was my hunting partner and best friend.

How has CrossFit changed your life?

I feel better every week I am there. I also hurt every day I am there, but that just lets me know I am alive.

What have you accomplished, that you couldn't before, because of CrossFit?

I have not been in CrossFit that long but believe I am on my way to my DIY backcountry hunt.

Tell us one goal and P.R. you would like to accomplish through CrossFit.

My goal would be as stated above. To be in good enough shape to go on backcountry hunts.

What is your favorite part of Cherry City CrossFit?

I like the positive outlook of the coach, Jenna. She keeps me motivated each day and has a very positive outlook on what an old guy can do. The music is a positive side of c3 as well. It keeps the spirit in tune as well as the body.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?

My best movement is Squats I believe but have not found one I like yet.

What is your LEAST favorite CrossFit movement?

My worst is hand stand pushups. Too many sore spots from years of abuse from my extracurricular activities.

Why do you fight? What pushes or motivate you?

What keeps me going is the hopes that one day my boys will want to hunt like my brother and I used to-- in backcountry with elk bugling within yards of me.
