Jenna Jones

I started CrossFit back in 2013 on my own from a nutrition challenge I was doing. I am a college student here in Salem and was used to playing sports all of my life. I've done everything from gymnastics to softball. I stopped playing sports in college and CrossFit caught my attention. I love doing handstands and I love weightlifting so it seemed like a good fit. In November 2014 I decided it was time to give the CrossFit community a shot and I became a member here at Cherry City CrossFit. I love everyone here and I love meeting new people. I have a huge passion for helping people and fitness so coaching people to be the best they can be makes my heart happy.

I’ve been a part of the CrossFit community since 2010. A buddy of mine told me to “Come check out this crazy fitness program, CrossFit!”. Ever since that first class, I’ve been hooked. I’ve spent over many years in various environments coaching and training for competitions. From small kids to senior citizens, I have experience working with all ages. In 2013, I trained and helped the Springfield High volleyball team to have the most successful year in the school’s history. (See recommendation letter here) I was born in Salem, OR and moved to Springfield, IL in 2004. However, Salem kept tugging at my heart to come back home. So, I made the move back home in January 2014 to pursue my dream of owning and running my own CrossFit gym.

I have just recently started doing CrossFit and ever since the first on-ramp I have been hooked. I played sports all of my life and after high school and starting college I stopped athletics, gained a bunch of weight, and was not active whatsoever. I have my certification as a Nutritional Health Coach and after using a health coach myself decided that's what I wanted to do to help people reach their full potential and starting living life not just existing. I want to help anyone who needs help and with nutritional advice and CrossFit you're going to be on a fast track to success.
